On Thursday nights my girlfriends and I love to listen to some live music at Sayer’s lounge in Hollywood. The lounge is inside a small ally way that doesn’t look like it would be the entrance to a nightclub as it is hidden by a fast food joint. The inside is cute, small, and intimate. In Hollywood every bar has a unique drink menu with crazy concoctions. My latest discovery is a delicious blend of gin and champagne. I had never been a big fan of gin, but when combined with champagne it tastes so good when it hits the lips! The name is “French 75″ and if your bartender in the Midwest has no clue the blend is easy as 1-2-3. Gin, Champagne, and Lemon Juice. I even saw a major star from “500 Days of Summer” that was sipping on the liquid courage before he jumped on stage and belted to the top of his lungs. It’s also great to serve in champagne flutes at any home party. Bottoms Up!
