Last week in New York I remembered how amazing the food is! Everywhere I turn I can smell a wide variety of aromas lingering from every corner. One of my favorite things that I can’t go without having is bagel and lox. The lox in NYC is so fresh and tasty. Stumbling upon the lower east side I found the best bagel and lox I’ve ever tasted in my life. There were so many different kinds of fish to top your bagel with as well as 10 different cream cheese selections you could ever imagine. I decided to go with a whole wheat everything bagel with lox, onion, lettuce, tomato, and goat cheese.
Bagel and lox is definitely a favorite breakfast comfort food. Although many people bash carbs they’re actually part of a substantial diet if selecting whole grains. Like anything I wouldn’t suggest eating this treat every day, but in moderation it can be part of a great grounding and comforting breakfast.
